Sharing Ideas at Work

Debra WheatmanDear Debra:

I have an idea for my company.   We have an annual golf tournament for our distributors/sales force, and I have some great ideas (if I do say so myself) for promoting that event. I am a part time customer service rep, currently a junior in college.   I am not sure that my boss or the marketing manager would listen to me. The marketing manager is in charge of the event. Should I share my idea? How can I present it?

Thank you,

Svetlana

Dear Svetlana:

Yes! You should share your idea.   Perform your research and put together a short (one page or less) proposal. Include the cost of the idea, time/resources required, how it would work, and the anticipated outcome.   If you have examples of how this idea has worked elsewhere or other facts to demonstrate the potential for success, share that information too. Ask the marketing manager if you could take a moment to share an idea. I am sure that person would appreciate your efforts and enthusiasm. This could be a great experience for you and lead to new opportunities. new zealand online casinos

All the best!
