Résumé Help: Copied from the Job Description

Is your résumé comprised of information copied directly from your company-provided job description?  Worse yet, have you copied and pasted information from the job posting for the job to which you are applying?  That is the case with this candidate.  Her information is cut from her description and does not contain any information unique to her performance.  If you did this, don’t beat yourself up.  It is a common mistake.  Better to correct it now and move on to enjoy greater success!

There are obvious mistakes, such as the awkward, non-standard formatting of her information. She does not show the scope of her responsibilities.  She could add impact by showing how many files she managed or how quickly she implemented changed.  Also, she needs to add specific accomplishments from her experience.  What did she do to improve operations?  Did she suggest or implement any changes?  Did she win any awards?  By correcting the format and adding her unique achievements, she will see her interview invitation rate soar.
