Introducing a personal branding tool for professionals

A while back I posted my musings about the resume of the future.  As I indicated, having a positive online presence is just as (if not more) important than a traditional printed document. Your personal brand MUST extend to the virtual world. In fact, when employers evaluate you, they look for you online. Having nothing about yourself will put the brakes on your search like nothing else. In a world where information is only a click away, it is important that your presence extend in a positive way to online channels.

Introducing: Professional-Me.com. Professional-Me is your online portfolio consisting of an online version of your résumé, core competencies, and key attributes, including links to your social networking sites – and even your blog, if you have one. In writing for clients, I began to realize that many people needed to tell more of a ‘story’ regarding their background and accomplishments; employers wanted to see a bigger picture. The online portfolio provides these things and more to give potential hiring managers a more in-depth look at a potential candidate.
