Résumé Help - Senior Network Engineer

A résumé is a reflection of you.  It represents your personal brand.  For this reason, it is extremely important to make sure your résumé is aesthetically pleasing, well organized for ease of readability, and most of all, accurate.  You can’t afford to make errors on your résumé. If you do, hiring managers will think you are unable to produce quality work.

Today’s résumé is in need of an overhaul.  It would be best if this candidate would first describe the major duties of his role using a paragraph format and then create several targeted bullet points that focus on the specific successes he has had in the past.

I recommend using the SAR method when creating bulleted achievements.  S stands for situation, A stands for action, and R stands for results.  By quantifying accomplishments in this way, you let hiring managers know why you are unique and how your work has impacted the bottom line.
