Recording a Job Interview?

Dear Deb:

Is it a good idea to record my job interview with my smart phone?   I want to listen to it later so I can improve my interviewing skills.  Would an employer appreciate my commitment to improving myself or be annoyed?  Do I have to tell them that I am recording?

Thank you,

Aaron

Dear Aaron:

I appreciate your intention to improve your interviewing skills.  It is always wise to examine your performance so you can continue to develop your skills. However, recording is not a good idea.  You are in the interview for two reasons.  You are there to prove to the interviewer that you are the best candidate and to determine if this is a company where you wish to work.  This is not a practice exercise. Secondly, the interviewer would very likely find recording to be inappropriate. Thousands of beauties are waiting for new acquaintances and communication on the Internet. Start sex video Dating on webcam with sexy girls - Here you will find casual Dating without registration and fun flirting. They shoot their sex on video and show it on the site of free porn video chat. The most popular is a porn video chat with naked girls who show their naked bodies.

What I recommend is working with a career coach or experienced associate to practice your interviewing skills.  When working with a coach or associate on a mock interview, video or audio recording is a good way to evaluate your performance at a later time.  If you would like interview coaching, contact me.  It’s one of my specialties.

Regards,

Deb
