Ender's Game???

Thousands of my readers have sent me e-mail asking about my inclusion of Ender's Game in my recommended reading list.  Rather than respond individually, I will do so en masse.

I reviewed the list and realize it may appear as if it does not belong - but it actually fits quite well if you think about it as a guide to leadership.  Our eponymous hero is forced to learn how to lead - if he doesn't lead nobody else will.

  • He learns how to deal with bullies, teachers, co-workers.
  • He inspires his workers to achieve greatness.
  • He builds a flexible management structure allowing for hierarchical chains of command.
  • He always finds a way to lead his team to victory - from the front.

Ender is a true leader, plus it is a great story! This is a quick read that I highly recommend!
