Asking for LinkedIN Endorsements

Is it alright to ask my colleagues to endorse me for certain skills on LinkedIn? Is that like asking for a favor? How should I approach this?

call attention to my project management skills. Would you mind endorsing me for that skill?â  At the same time, take a moment to endorse your colleagues for skills that they possess. Often endorsing others is enough to receive an endorsement in return.  If you want to avoid getting endorsed for a non-relevant skill, remove that skill from your list.
